If Canadian track and field is looking for a new face of the sport, pole vaulter Alysha Newman is almost ready for her close-up.

The 23-year-old from London, Ont., is the national record holder indoors (4.70 metres) and out (4.75), the reigning Commonwealth Games champion and has quickly become a Diamond League staple in one of the premier field events.
