Aidan Anger, of Almaguin Highlands, punctuated his successful high school track and field career with a personal best and school record in the OFSAA senior boys pole vault event in Toronto, Saturday. The Grade 12 student finished fourth in a very tight field of more than 20 athletes from across the province at the jam-packed York Lions Stadium. 

Anger, from Burks Falls, set Almaguin’s new record with a final jump of 4.30 meters, his best ever and almost half a metre higher than his 3.95-m jump that was good for fifth place at OFSAA last year.
