HILLSDALE, Mich. – Freshman Tommy Ansiel broke the meet record in the pole vault with one of the best marks in school history at the G-MAC Outdoor Track & Field Championship.

The Warrenville, Ill. native cleared a personal-best 16-9.50 (5.12 meters) which rates #5 on the Yellow Jackets’ all-time list. Already an NCAA Division II provisional qualifier, the effort moved Ansiel up to #10 in the country.
