LUBBOCK, Texas – KC Lightfoot set his collegiate-best mark to win the men’s pole vault, and both the women’s and men’s 4×400-meter relay teams posted solid national times to help Baylor track & field finish strong Saturday at the Texas Tech Classic.

Lightfoot set his collegiate best indoor mark of 18-3.25 (5.57m) to win the event, coming up just short of Bill Payne’s school record (18-4.75) for the second time this season. Riley Richards finished third following an emotional moment as he cleared a personal-best bar of 17-9.25 to move to Baylor’s No. 7 all-time pole vault performer spot, just behind his Dad/coach Brandon Richards.
