Indiana State Director of Athletics Sherard Clinkscales announced Thursday the four inductees to the Indiana State Athletics Hall of Fame. Two are homegrown talents who went on to greatness with the Sycamores — four-time NCAA champion pole vaulter Kylie Hutson and Jim Cruse, one of the best rebounders in the history of ISU’s storied men’s basketball program.

The other is perhaps the most accomplished coach in the history of ISU athletics, John McNichols, who died last December. The honor coincides with McNichols being honored with the USA Track and Field President’s Award on Thursday night. Long-time colleague John Gartland accepted the award on his behalf.
