TIFFIN, Ohio — Fredonia senior Mikayla Capestrani (Jamestown) established a new school record in the women’s indoor pole vault during Saturday’s Tiffin Dragon Grand Prix. She finished third in the event.

By clearing 11 feet, 7 3/4 inches, Capestrani went two inches higher than previous co-holders Julia Schreier and Olivia Kurbs (11 feet, 5 3/4 inches). In the process, Capestrani moved up to No. 22 on the current NCAA Division III women’s indoor track & field performance list.
