HILLSDALE — Jacob Krutsch, of Coldwater, has been flying high this year as a champion pole vaulter for Hillsdale Academy in Hillsdale.

On June 1, Krutsch, a high school junior, competed in the Division Four state track meet against 20 of the state’s top vaulters to take first place in the MHSAA Division Four meet held in Grand Rapids.

The top spot on the podium has become a familiar place for Krutsch winning the SCAA conference championship meet, Regional meet and Hillsdale Area Best meet. On May 25, he was the MITCA team state champion setting a meet record and improving his school record with a jump of 14 feet, 6 inches.

Dr. Matt & family and the APDC staff are all members of Jacob’s fan club and we look forward to many successes when he competes as a high school senior in the spring of 2020!
