MOSCOW, Idaho — When records fall, they fall in bunches.

A week after Kaila Gibson and Alex Cisneros swept the school records in the women’s and men’s 5,000 meters, Saraia Collmer added a third school record for the Portland State track & field program while clearing 11-05.25 (3.49m) in the women’s pole vault at the Idaho Duals Friday at the Kibbie Dome.

Collmer broke the record on her first attempt at the height, moving her past the old mark of 11-04.00 (3.46m) that Krystal Saling set in 2005. Collmer had been on the cusp of the record ever since she opened her Viking career at the Vandal Invitational and Multi Events three weeks. Collmer moved up to second all time with a clearance of 10-11.50 (3.34m) at that meet, and took three attempts at what would then have been a school-record 3.49 meters – the height she cleared Friday.
