For the second summer in a row, Carson Dingler will be taking her pole vaulting career to the international stage.

A senior at FPD this fall, Dingler qualified for the IAAF World Junior Championships on Sunday with a second-place finish at the USATF Junior Outdoor Championships in Clovis, California.

Dingler cleared 13 feet, 9 1/4 inches, setting a personal best. She finished at the same height as Rachel Baxter, but Baxter, a rising senior from Anaheim, California, claimed the tiebreaker.

Both Baxter and Dingler advance to the IAAF World Junior Championships, with the qualifying round for the under-20 competition scheduled for July 19 in Bydgoszcz, Poland.

Last year, Dingler competed in the IAAF World Youth Championships, an under-17 competition in Cali, Colombia. She finished 10th, one spot behind Baxter at the same height.
