BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Lee University Men’s Track & Field team set three Lee records on its way to a first-place finish at the Emory Indoor Invitational Sunday at the Birmingham Crossplex.
The Flames amassed 100.50 points behind 12 top-five finishes, including four event wins. Troy University was second with 72 points, Alabama Huntsville was third (66) and Emory University was fourth (63.50).
Daniel Surman and Cayden Rechsteiner battled in the Pole Vault. Rechsteiner tied Surman’s school record of 4.10 meters for a few minutes before Surman raised the bar to 4.40 meters. Surman placed third in the event and Rechsteiner was seventh.
