Senior Brooks Gerke broke a 25-year-old school record in the pole vault to highlight the performances of the Huntington University men’s and women’s track teams at the 27th annual Polar Bear Invitational hosted by Indiana Wesleyan on Friday, March 23.

Gerke cleared 4.60 meters — 15-1.125 feet to top Mark Green’s 1993 mark of 15 feet in the vault, which earned him a ticket to the 2018 NAIA National Championship meet as well.
