On a weekly basis, four Lincoln High pole vaulters compete for three spots on the girls’ varsity team. All four have as good a chance as the other three at securing their spot.

It’s a good problem to have for the Trojans, and it’s one Autumn McLaughlin has made the most of.

The junior has taken first place at her last two meets, jumping 9 feet, 6 inches both times to lead a talented group of vaulters that includes the sophomore trio of Allison Chapman, Ashley Santana and Kate Shea.
