Two Commerce High School students represented their city and club team at a national track and field event last week.

Brooklyn Matthews and Alexis Morgan both competed in the pole vault competition over the weekend at the USATF Hershey National Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships, held in Greensboro, N.C. Matthews placed 31st out of 42 entered competitors in the age 17-18 group with a maximum height of 2.9m, while Morgan finished tied for 19th place out of 50 entered competitors in the age 15-16 category, with a maximum height of 3.1m.
