Just a few months ago, Caroline Dannenbaum was enduring rehabilitation for a herniated disc and had not attempted the pole vault since school began last fall.

Fast forward to Sunday at the Bennett Center in Toms River, where the Pingry sophomore not only looked like she never lost a step, she joined some select company in meet history.

Dannenbaum nailed four of her first five jumps and cleared her second attempt at 12-6 to tie the meet record at the NJSIAA girls indoor track Meet of Champions.
