Aachen – American pole vaulter Sam Kendricks won first place in the Domspringen pole vault meeting on September 6 in Aachen, Germany.
Kendricks won the 13th annual Domspringen competition with a clearance of 5.80 meters. There were 5,000 fans in attendance. He left last year’s winner, German athlete Tobias Scherbarth, in second place with 5.60 meters, and Polish pole vaulter Pawel Wojciechowski in third place with 5.60 meters respectively.
