Birmingham – On August 18, American pole vaulter Sandi Morris won first place in the women’s pole vault competition at the IAAF Diamond League Birmingham.

Morris won the competition in Birmingham with 4.62 meters, which she cleared on her first attempt, and the same was true for her previous height, 4.52 meters. She failed at all three attempts at 4.72 meters. During this IAAF Diamond League event, all the female athletes had to battle dangerous weather conditions such as a massive headwind.
