NEW YORK – On the big stage in the Big Apple, Wisconsin women’s track and field standout Taylor Amann didn’t disappoint, breaking her own school record in the pole vault on the first day of the Dr. Sander Invitational at The Armory. 

Amann soared 13 feet, 11 1/4 inches to topple her previous school best of 13-9 1/2 set at last year’s Big Ten meet. It marked the seventh-straight indoor pole vault competition that Amann has won and her third victory of the 2018 indoor season. The Hartland, Wisconsin native leads the Big Ten Conference in the event while her mark ranks ninth in the country.
