Nina Kennedy has her own competition to think about, but the WA pole vaulter is pretty excited to see her male counterparts go at it at the Jandakot Airport Track Classic on Saturday night.

Kennedy can understand why Finland’s Tomas Wecksten and Germany’s Tobias Scherbarth have come to Perth to compete at the WA Athletics Stadium.

“Perth is one of the best places to jump in the world,” Kennedy said.

Kennedy posted a couple of Commonwealth Games A qualifiers last year, but is keen to show some form off a short approach on her home deck this weekend.
