Nolan Ellis can still improve.

For all of the indoor track and field accolades and accomplishments the Colorado Mesa University junior has garnered, he pointed out what his shortfall is.

“I still fully believe that my technique has got to be the worst in all of Division II,” the junior pole vaulter said early this week. “Coach (Brad) Gamble and I have joked about that, and I still think there’s a lot of work to be done there. But so far, all of the hard work I’ve put in to this thing is starting to pay off.”
