Every other event was finished, but West Windsor-Plainsboro South senior Mark Sabin made sure all eyes were on him any way.

Sabin set the Central Jersey, Group 4 pole vault record on Saturday after he cleared 15-2 and was the only athlete in the entire meet competing when he did it.

Coming into Saturday, Sabin had a personal best of 14 feet but added more than a foot to win his first career sectional title. Sabin was the No. 4 seed in a group that included two other vaulters that entered with career clearances of 15 feet.

Still, it was Sabin that made the most of his championship effort.
