Kyla Davis hasn’t yet begun her freshman year at Yukon, but she’s already making her name known on the state’s track and field scene.

The 14-year-old pole vaulter cleared 11 feet, 5 3/4 inches to win the USA Track and Field Hershey Junior Olympic Championships in Lawrence, Kansas earlier this week.

For reference, Owasso senior Heather Ward won the Class 6A state title last May with a vault of 11-6.
