Mardon Connelly discovered beginning a game with nine straight strikes is not for the faint of heart as it sets up a real nail-biter heading into the 10th frame.
“My heart was pounding and I thought I was going to have a heart attack after the first nine,” said Connelly.
However, seemingly unfazed by the added pressure, he tattooed the pocket with a quality shot only to leave a 7-pin and derailing his bid for a 300 at the Virgin River Bowling Center. Next, he spared his 7-pin leave and toppled seven more pins for a stellar 276 game.
