Even though she stands in at just 5-feet, Montgomery County grad. and William Wood University track and field team member Abagayle Bartlett has been standing tall ever since she arrived on campus as a freshman three years ago.
Now the former Lady Wildcat has just one year of eligibility left and she’s looking to make the most of it before something she’s done for close to a decade officially has to become part of her past in order to make room for the next stage of life.
One highlight Bartlett earned last May was that she was one of 97 spring athletes to earn All-American Midwest Conference recognition for WWU along with two dozen other other Lady Owls teammates. Two weeks later on May 28 she was also named a Daktronics National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Scholar Athlete, meaning she was a junior with a grade point average between 3.5 and 4.0 who had attended two years as a non-transfer student or one-year as a transfer student.
