The Tennessee men’s and women’s track teams finished out competition at the 2013 Armory Collegiate Invitational in New York City with some impressive midseason performances on Saturday.
Most notable was freshman Jake Blankenship’s victory in the championship division of the men’s pole vault with a jump of 18 feet, 1/2 inch. Blankenship continues a phenomenal indoor campaign as the mark raised his previous personal best by four inches.He is currently tiedfor the school’s freshman record set by Olympic silver-medalist and former Vol Lawrence Johnson, and tied for third on the Vols’ indoor list all time.
