STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Mansfield University sophomore Charlsie Bowen set a new school record in the pole vault and hit an NCAA provisional mark at the Fastrack National Invitational on Friday.

Bowen’s height of 3.70 meters bested the previous indoor record of 3.67m set by Alexis Tsiknas in 2011. It also matches the all-time women’s pole vault record set by Bowen during the 2015 outdoor season.

The sophomore has been just shy of hitting an NCAA provisional of 3.55m with marks of 3.45m in her last three outings.

Bowen currently holds the third best height in the PSAC and the 16th best in NCAA Division II.

Mountaineer track & field is also in action this Sunday at Cornell.
