Texas Tech pole vaulter Zach Bradford was named the Big 12 Athlete of the Week, the league announced Wednesday afternoon.
Bradford became Tech’s newest indoor record holder with a pole vault clearance of 5.72m (18-9 ¼) last Friday. Before that clearance, the Illinois native first broke the school record at 5.67m (18-7 ¼) on his final attempt. The record was previously held by Brandon Bray back in 2020 at 5.62m (18-5 ¼).
