Brandeis’ Fraley watches history, makes his own in 6A pole vault

AUSTIN – Brandeis senior Logan Fraley had a front seat to history and made a little of his own during the boys Class 6A pole vault on Saturday afternoon.

Fraley, who is signed with Texas Tech, earned a silver medal with a personal best mark of 16-feet-9. He waited for more than an hour to collect his medal as he watched Branson Ellis of Tyler Lee set a state record 18-3¼ clearance.

“It was fun to watch him,” Fraley said. “He’s a real good vaulter. He’s been doing it a long time. It was a good experience to be able to vault with him.”
