Bryan’s Webb improves in pole vault at Texas A&M high school meet

Campbell Webb’s best pole vault last year was 13 feet, 3 inches competing for the Bryan Vikings. The competition stepped up Saturday at the Texas A&M High School Classic, and Webb moved up, too.

Webb finished sixth because of misses, but his clearance of 14-11 1/2 tied for the third-best of the day in the boys competition won by China Spring’s Riley Richards at the Gilliam Indoor Stadium.
