Burke takes pole vault at UW-Oshkosh Last Chance Meet

OSHKOSH, Wis. – Shannon Burke (Sussex, WI/Hamilton) won the pole vault for the fifth time this spring, spanning the indoor and outdoor seasons, at the UW-Stevens Point women’s outdoor track and field team competed at the UW-Oshkosh Last Chance Meet on Friday at Titan Stadium.
 
Results
 
Burke cleared 3.68 meters (11’3.75″) to edge out UW-Whitewater’s Melanie Pilon for the event win.
 
Kadie Flynn (Appleton, WI/North) competed in both the hammer throw, where she finished sixth (47.01m, 154’3″), and the discus throw, where she was 13th (36.48m, 119’8″).
 
Maggie Martin (Chilton, WI/Chilton) took 11th in the hammer throw (43.81m, 143’9″).
 
Next up for the Pointers is the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Delaware, Ohio on May 22-24.
