BYU track and field: PRs highlight two-meet weekend

LOGAN – No. 4/19 BYU track and field had multiple athletes earn personal records at the Aggie Invitational and UCSD Triton Invitational on Saturday.

“We had some phenomenal performances across the board today,” BYU associate head coach Mark Robison said. “Andrea (Stapleton-Johnson) came close to breaking the school record in the high jump, Isabel (Neal) went a foot higher than she’s ever gone in the pole vault and a lot of athletes performed really well.”

Neal won the women’s pole vault with a career vault of 4.00m/13-1.50. Neal’s mark puts her on the bubble for qualifying for the NCAA West Prelims. On Friday, Raul Rios took first in the men’s pole vault clearing a height of 5.15m/16-10.75.
