VAULTER VAULTER

California High School Coaching Position.

I’m Head Track and Field coach at Temple City High School and I’m hoping to fill out our coaching staff or the upcoming 2016 season. We placed 2nd in the Rio Hondo League on the boys side (up from a fourth place finish the year before), and I wish to continue that chase for first by making some coaching staff adjustments.

Our previous Pole Vault coach has moved on, leaving some big shoes to fill from the Pole Vaulting event area. I’m hoping you can refer me to any coaches or former athletes that want to get back into the sport.

Hope would be to find a Vault coach able to attend 5 days a week, but we would also consider coaches available 2-3 times/week. Compensation for the time is available.

We have new poles (with funds to order more as needed!), some new pads, we have a new shed and hopefully a new runway laid down for the 2016 season. Our best vaulter, Karlly has vaulted 11’7″ thus far, and is returning, and I have a big group of vaulters who need guidance. There will be a stipend available and great support from the school administration. I really feel it’s a great opportunity for a coach to retool our school as a vaulting powerhouse.

We are located in Temple City, just bordering Arcadia and have made swooping changes to our program that have contributed to strong support from school and district administration. Our school of 2100 students has over 50 clubs and sport teams. Other than the band, Track and Field is the largest organization on campus.

As Rams, our students are dedicated and committed to not just making our team good, but great.

If you know of any alumni, former friends, or acquaintances that you feel would be a good fit for our staff, please do not hesitate to contact me or share my contact information.

Thank you and hope to hear from you soon,
