Recent Grand Haven graduate Jordan Keefe ran into some tough competition on the second day of the Grand Haven Beach Vault on Saturday at the Grand Haven City Beach.

Keefe, who is Grand Haven’s school record-holder in the pole vault at 12 feet and will compete at Michigan State University next season, cleared a respectable height of 11-6 in Saturday’s Elite High School Women’s division, yet it was good for only a tie for seventh place. The winner was Autumn Conn, who was representing theFlying Dragons Pole Vaulting club.
