As Liam Kuhn was falling through the air, he couldn’t help but to feel like it took just a little bit longer than it ever has in his life.

The sophomore pole vaulter from Crestview had just cleared 14 feet, eight inches for the first time in his entire life on the biggest stage as the height helped him take fourth place in the Ohio High School Athletic Association Division III state championships on Friday at Welcome Stadium.
