LA CROSSE (WLUK) — De Pere’s Olivia Fabry entered Saturday’s pole vault event at the state track and field meet feeling no pressure,

The defending state champ in Division 1 wasn’t being cocky, it was just that she already had won the event once already.

And after what she termed as not a great senior season, Fabry stood tall when the heat was on, repeating as state champ with a height of 12 feet.

“It feels good,” Fabry said. “Kind of sad, I’m done now.”

Fabry entered the meet with a qualifying height of just 11 feet, which was unexpected after what she accomplished last season when she won the state title with a height of 12-6.
