RENO, Nev. – Five Southeastern Louisiana University pole vaulters competed Saturday in the UCS Spirit National Pole Vault Summit at the Reno Livestock Events Center.
Competing in separate heats, Kevin Dorhauer finished highest in the standings (fourth) with a vault of 15 feet, 3.07 inches. Vance Law, despite finishing 12th in his heat, turned in the best men’s performance of the event (15-05.03). Tony Miller (12-01.67) did not place.
Freshmen Sharon Ann Ourso and Mallory Allphin competed for the Lady Lions. Ourso finished seventh in her heat (11-05.80) while Allphin placed 11th (8-10.30).
The full Southeastern track and field squad returns to action Friday at the ASU Invitational in Jonesboro, Ark.
