Draxler wins pole vault, breaks state indoor record

Wrightstown senior Bonnie Draxler won the girls pole vault Saturday by breaking a WTFA state indoor meet record with a height of 13 feet, 1 inch.

Draxler also won the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.2 seconds.

Other area girls competitors that placed at the meet included Ashwaubenon’s Kris Lindow with a sixth-place finish in the shot put, Ashwaubenon’s Rachel Whitefield tied for fifth in the pole vault, Bay Port’s 800 relay team took third and Green Bay Preble’s Meagan Hilla was sixth in the 55 hurdles and tied for third in the high jump.
