Baylor’s Tuesdi Tidwell, a graduate of Early High School, is headed for the NCAA National Championships in track and field following her performance at the Big 12 meet hosted by Texas Tech on Feb. 22.
Tidwell finished second in the women’s pole vault, recording the fourth-best indoor vault in Baylor’s women’s history — 14-feet-2.5 inches. The effort bested Tidwell’s previous top mark by nine inches, and trails only three Baylor jumps, all by Annie Rhodes.
Tidwell, just a sophomore, will be among the field of 16 competing for the NCAA Division I women’s national championship in the pole vault in Birmingham, Alabama March 8-9.
