CHARLESTON — Effingham’s Alec Morrissey and Terrence Hill both stood on the podium at the IHSA Boys Track and Field State Championships on Saturday at Eastern Illinois University.
Competing in Class 2A, Morrissey tied Troy Triad’s Jadon Elliott for seventh place in pole vault while Hill equaled Burlington Central’s Patrick Mayfield for ninth place in high jump.
Morrissey and Elliott both cleared 14-0 to finished deadlocked.
