Eastern Illinois junior pole vaulter Jade Riebold completed one of the most successful individual seasons in school history as she medaled during both the indoor and outdoor NCAA Championships in 2013. In addition Riebold earned a spot at the US National Championships.
During the indoor season Riebold was the national runner-up as she and Natalia Bartnovskaya of Kansas both cleared 14’7.25″. Riebold was the silver medalist based on number of attempts.
During the outdoor season Riebold earned the bronze medal in the pole vault as she cleared a career best height of 14.5.25″
At the US National Championships, Riebold did not clear a height. She was the Ohio Valley Conference Female Field Athlete of the Year in both the indoor and outdoor seasons. Riebold currently holds both the EIU and OVC records for the indoor and outdoor pole vault.
