The world champion Fabiana Murer travels to the United States on Monday (14/01), to participate in next Friday (18/01), the National Indoor Pole Vault Summit-2013 in the city of Reno.
Also follow Fábio Gomes da Silva, the South American record holder, and Thiago Braz, world champion juvenile title won last year in Barcelona.
The U.S. event marks the beginning of the walk of Brazilians in search of qualifying for the World Championships in Moscow, scheduled for August this year.
“Unlike last year, include the indoor season in my schedule,” said Fabian, who after the U.S. travels to competitions in indoor track in Europe. “I’m very motivated for 2013,” he said.
Besides trying the world championship, Fabiana want to improve your South American record of 4.85 m. “I’m training hard, I know that I am able to get the 4.90 to get me up to 5 m,” said the jumper, who competed in the Open Games of Bauru, in November, at the beginning of training (won gold with 3 .90 m, using 12 passes).
Third World Ranking-2012, with 4,77 m, Fabiana competes on 18 alongside Fabio Gomes. In the U.S. will have opponents in the level of Olympic champions like Jennifer Suhr, U.S., and Renaud Lavillenie, France, and Thiago, who attends event on the 19th.
“The staff has been training well and the competition of Reno is the beginning of another season important for everyone,” said coach Miranda Elson, BM & FBovespa and Technical Council of the Brazilian Athletics Confederation.
