KUALA LUMPUR: Former national pole champion Aliuddin Jumaat died on Tuesday after he collapsed while training at Likas Stadium for the Sabah Masters Athletics Championships on Oct 7-8. He was 67.
The Sabah-born athlete held the men’s national pole vault record in the 1980s and he had also competed in the decathlon.
