HUNTINGTON — Lauren Zaglifa has never let much get in her way when it comes to pole vaulting.
In her senior year at Washington, Zaglifa set a state record and won a Class AAA, Region II title despite some rainy, unseasonably cold weather and a broken pole at one point.
Now in her sophomore year at Marshall, the Division I pole vaulter wasn’t going to let a few injuries stop her from finishing the indoor season strong.
Zaglifa placed second at the Conference USA meet recently, matching her season-best height of 12-feet-8. She also reached that height at the Marshall Opener, the first meet of the indoor season back in December.
