A scrap metal fundraiser will be held next month to raise money for the Sayre High School track’s pole vault, according to information from the Sayre Area School District.
Scrap metal will be collected from 8 a.m. to noon Aug. 4 in the high school’s Brock Street parking lot. Items that will be accepted include returnable bottles and cans; copper, brass, aluminum and other light and heavy metal; washers and dryers; air conditioners; refrigerators; and hot water heaters.
Cars will also be accepted, according to information from the district. However, any vehicle donated for the fundraiser must include the title. Cars and larger amounts of scrap can be picked up.
