COLUMBUS — Geneva’s Deidra Marrison has ventured down to Columbus three times to compete for a track and field state title in the pole vault and each trip has been different.
Two years ago, as a sophomore, Marrison tagged along with then-senior Ally Thompson. As a junior, she competed by herself.
On Saturday, Marrison once more enjoyed the company of a fellow senior Geneva pole vaulter, as Bri Aveni also vied for a state title.
