With a clearance of 17’4½”, Air Force senior Greg Skage tied for 12th in the pole vault – and claimed second-team All-America status – at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships this afternoon (March 13) in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Facing the highest opening-height bar of his career, Skage made the 17’4½” clearance – his third-highest of the year – on his final attempt. Unable to surpass the next bar of 17’8½”, Skage finished the competition in a tie for 12th with Arkansas’ Etamar Bhastekar.
