Lead-Deadwood is quickly becoming a bastion for pole vaulting here in the Black Hills. Former Golddigger Jade Derby continues the craft at Dickinson State.
Now, Lead-Deadwood senior Carolyn Groeger will add her name to the list of college vaulters, signing a national letter of intent today to vault for the University of Sioux Falls.
Last season, Groeger took the Class ‘A’ Pole Vault title with an 11-feet-even clearance and looks to repeat this season.
