Emily Grove broke all the local records she needed to break on Saturday at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays, but not her own. That’s okay for now.

The USD senior cleared 14 feet, 1.25 inches to eclipse both a stadium mark and a meet mark for the event, but missed at 14-7.

Because Grove is currently the Division I leader in the event with a best of 15-1 — a bar she cleared three weeks ago in Sioux City – the churn is the thing. Once you get over 15 feet, you want to get back there.
