Helena High’s McLaughlin to pole vault for Butler Community College

Helena High’s Madison McLaughlin has committed to pole vault for Butler Community College’s (El Dorado, Kansas) track and field team.

McLaughlin earned six letters at Helena, four in track and field and two in volleyball. She qualified for the 2014 Class AA State Meet with a vault of 10-feet-6. McLaughlin was also a Montana USA Track and Field Athlete of the Year recipient.

“Madison is a great fit for our program and we expect her to make an immediate impact academically, athletically and to the community of Butler CC and El Dorado,” said Butler assistant coach Joe Weaver. “We’re looking forward to her continuing her success here as a Lady Grizzly.”

McLaughlin carries a 3.85 GPA and plans on studying pre med in college, while continuing to pursue a career in Pediatric Oncology.

A Girls State delegate and a board member of the Bengal Peer Performance Group, Madison is the daughter of John and Connie McLaughlin.
