Hensel to be inducted to MSUM Sports Hall of Fame

The Minnesota State University Moorhead athletic department has announced the 2019 Dragon Sports Hall of Fame inductees. Nine individuals and one team were selected to be honored including Frazee’s Jennifer Hensel.

“This year’s Dragon Sports Hall of Fame class spans five decades of Dragons whose accomplishments speak for themselves,” MSUM athletic director Doug Peters said. “The committee did a great job of selecting a fantastic class.”

Hensel (Women’s Track and Field 2005-08) was a two-time national champion in pole vault, winning outdoors in 2007 (12-9) and 2008 (school record 13-2 1/4) to become MSUM’s first pole vault individual national champion.

She was a six-time All-American in pole vault and is the current school record holder indoors (13-2 1/4) and outdoors (13-7 1/4). Hensel also set the second fastest 55-meter dash in school history (7.18).
