Holly Bradshaw falls short of medal in pole vault as British record holder finishes sixth: ‘I am really heartbroken’

Pole vaulter Holly Bradshaw declared herself ‘heartbroken’ after falling short in the final.

It was a Sunday to forget for British Athletics on day three of the World Championships in London after Katarina Johnson-Thompson missed out on a heptathlon medal while Andrew Pozzi and Asha Philip failed to qualify for their finals.

The 25-year-old Bradshaw, who set a new British record of 4.80m in May, cleared 4.65m on her third attempt.
